The all new Roddy shawl
Color changes galore and varying stitch patterns throughout. This project does not get boring.
One side of the shawl grows in steps and color blocks, the other gets knitted with an abundance of inspiring colorful stripes. The bottom border has a lace accent, there are also eyelet polka dots and a striking two color hexagon pattern tops it all.
The pattern is fully written and charted as well for your knitting pleasure.
The blocked size is: 60” in length and 14.5” in height.
Yarn
Softness, a DK weight skein with 100 yards in a super soft Dralon and thick and thin cotton mix, a special blend by Yarnz2go.
6 skeins/ colors used.
Notions used
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 40” (102 cm) in length.
Scrap yarn or a cable from an interchangeable needle set.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.
Gauge:
12 sts and 21 rows in 4” of Stockinette stitch
Techniques used
Knit, purl, color changes, eyelets, lace knitting, slipped stitches, increases, pick up stitches to knit in different direction, stretchy bind off, weave in ends and blocking.
