Rock Solid Granny Square
I wanted a solid square for a bedspread where the stitches wouldn’t draw the eye too much. Most granny squares use a chain in the corner, and this leaves a little eyelet. I wanted to remove that eyelet, and after reading a brief description in a book, I set out to replicate it - but it didn’t work for me. So, I spent several hours testing multiple combinations of stitches. They all either curled up in a cup (not enough increases) or flared up and down (too many increases), until finally at almost 2am I came across the one that worked.
So, here it is, my solid rocking granny. I mean my rock solid granny. ;)
