This dashing sweater vest will make your little boy feel stylish, while keeping his core warm and his movement and play unhindered.
Button-neck opening makes it easy to slip the vest over the heads of busy toddlers.
Size:
Chest circumference: 16” 19”/22”/25” or 40.5 48/56/63.5cm
Back length: 7” 8”/9”/10 ½” or 18 20/23/26.5cm
Materials Needed:
Yarn: solstice alpenrose dk (100% superwash merino) 310 yds (283m)/100g; 1 1/1/1 hank
OR about 175 210/260/310yds or 160 195/240/285m dk weight yarn
Notions:
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 16” and 24” circ; or needle to obtain gauge
one US 7 (4.5mm) straight needle for casting on
Cable needle; Stitch markers: 4 matching; 1 beginning of round (beg of rnd m)
Three 7/16” (15mm) buttons

2023 update
Rock Skipper errata:
There were a couple of errors noted between the written and the charts:
The charts are correct, written instructions for Rows 2, 4 and 8 should be “p2tog” instead of “k2tog” for the buttonhole.
Row 4 has an additional “slm” at the end of the row that is duplicate.
Additionally, I’ve added some clearer instructions for working the connection between the Yoke to the body.
Please note: written repeats and chart repeats do not match. To avoid confusion, stick with either / or through each row
