Roca Cowl
The Roca Cowl is crocheted in the round with a variation of half trebles creating squidgy texture and lines. Tapestry crochet is used at colour-changing rounds to give seamless colourwork.
The pattern covers instructions for two sizes and two weights of yarn – 4-ply and DK.
Note: Numbers given above are for 4-ply version. See below for DK too.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4)
Note: Sizes 1–2 use 4-ply and sizes 3–4 use DK weight yarns.

TENSION
17 (17, 16, 16) sts and 19 (19, 14, 14) rounds over 10 cm / 4 in, in pattern st using main hook.
Block your swatch according to finishing instructions before measuring. Tension is not critical for this project but will affect the size of the finished cowl and the amount of yarn used.
HOOKS
Main hook: 3.5 (3.5, 4.5, 4.5) mm, or size needed to match tension Chain hook: 4 (4, 5, 5) mm, or 0.5 mm larger than main hook
YARN
Sizes 1–2: Nervus Fibre 4-ply Alpaca Cashmere Silk Sock, 70% alpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere, 400 m / 437 yds per 100g skein.
Sizes 3–4: Nervus Fibre Devonia DK, 50% Exmoor Blueface, 30% Bluefaced Leicester, 20% Romney, 233 m/ 255 yds per 100g skein.
MC: 1 (1, 1, 1) skein
CC1: 1 (1, 1, 1) skein
