Robin's New Hood
This is a soft and cosy hood that suits both men and women of all ages. The cut was inspired by Swedish archeological findings dating back to around 1450. Further reading about the origin of the pattern can be found on Wikipedia under the article ”Bocksten Man”. The decorative border was inspired by traditional patterns from Ostrobothnia in Finland.
This is a knitted version of a popular pattern that I’ve made for Tunisian crochet (see: Robin’s hood). As opposed to the crocheted version, this design does not require any steeking.
