Roan
This pattern is no longer available.
The Roan Mountain Cardigan is a relaxed fit, cabled cardigan knit with natural wool from Bovidae Farms located in Mars Hill, NC. Jim and Rose have been caring for sheep on their mountain farm since 1990. The yarn produced from their sheep is dense and supple, filled with natural lanolin oils for soft wool and soft hands. You can read more about their sheep-filled paradise on my blog post.
Roan is constructed from the bottom-up, beginning with the sleeves, then the body. All pieces are joined together to create seamless yoke. Stitches are picked up to knit a seed stitch collar. A seed stitch belt is optional, with instructions included to create small I-cord belt loops.
