Tangy!
A lot of knitters mentionned to have skipped the provisionnal cast-on and started right at the bottom of the neck with the second lower neck round p3, k7, p3 and then the first k2tog, k4, yo, k1, yo, k4, ssk. The finish object will look almost exactly the same and it will be easier to knit.
A French version is available at Tricot Quebec here

Plusieurs personnes ont suggéré de ne pas utiliser le montage provisoire mais de monter les directement au bas du cou, en alternant ces deux rangs:
3m env, 7m end, 3m env
2m ens end, 4m end, jeté, 1m end, jeté, 4m end, surjet simple
