Rivage is a generous wrap worked in an all-over lace fabric that is elegant and easy to memorize. Both ends are worked in a lacy ribbing, while the main lace pattern flows across the body of the wrap, creating a gentle rhythm that keeps your hands engaged without demanding constant attention. Designed with relaxing summer knitting in mind, this project is meant to be happily carried to the beach, on road trips, camping, or during quiet afternoons on a terrace. While it can be knit in any yarn, if worked in plant-based fibres, the wrap feels light and breathable. Its adaptable size allows you to create a smaller or larger wrap to keep you comfortably covered on cooler summer evenings and ready for the first hints of fall.

Adaptable pattern
The pattern is easily adaptable in size, yarn weight, and yardage. The sample shown was knit using approximately 831 yards (760 m) of fingering weight yarn, but the wrap works beautifully with about 400 to 1200 yards (365 to 1100 meters) of fingering to worsted weight yarn, depending on the desired size and drape.

Rivage est une généreuse étole tricotée dans un motif de dentelle répété sur toute sa surface, à la fois élégant et facile à mémoriser. Les deux extrémités sont travaillées dans un point de côtes ajourées, tandis que le motif principal se déploie sur toute la longueur de l’étole, créant un rythme doux qui garde les mains occupées sans demander une attention constante. Conçu pour les moments de tricot détente de l’été, ce projet est fait pour vous accompagner à la plage, en voyage, au camping et sur une terrasse! Bien qu’il puisse être réalisé avec n’importe quel fil, l’utilisation de fibres végétales lui confère une légèreté particulièrement agréable. L’étole photographiée a été tricotée avec environ 760 mètres (831 verges) de fil de poids fingering (1 / super fin), mais le châle donnera également un très beau résultat avec environ 365 à 1100 mètres (400 à 1200 verges) de fil allant de fingering (1 / super fin) à worsted (4 / moyen), selon la taille et le drapé souhaités.
