These cute fingerless mitts can be knit for kids, woman and men. They are also extra long, so they also bridge the gap between your coat and your hands.

The extra small size can be knit with exactly 50 grams of yarn but for the other sizes I would go for a 100 gram ball of yarn. Any worsted weight yarn is great, I used a washable wool for one mitt and a regular wool with others.

These a very customizable: you can alter according to hand/wrist width and length.

The extra small thumb gusset makes the mitt 7 inches long and the large gusset ten inches long.
