Is it a top or a poncho? You can even wear it right side in or out to show off different textures different textures~

The Riley topper is a bit unconventional, you decide how to wear it. For a top, seam the sides. For a poncho as shown here, just leave the sides open. Wear it both inside-out over a tank, t-shirt, blouse or even a dress. It is very versatile.

The one size fits most, measuring 18” in length and 56” in circumference.
The pattern is fully written, has 2 charts as well as a photo tutorial to help you with the finishing touches.

Yarn
3 Stipple skeins, holding two yarns each in a thick & thin cotton and a smooth linen yarn creating a fingering weight yarn. 120 yards a skein. Knit kits/yarns available at Yarnz2go.
You can add extra width to the middle body, the pattern guides you but you need more yarn for whichever color you are using for the middle body.

Notions
US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 20”
(51 cm) in length.
Scrap yarn optional to place parts on hold.
Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge: 13 sts and 30 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.
NOTE: If you are a tight knitter you may need go up a needle size or two or cast on more stitches and work extra rows, which may require you to use more yarn.

Techniques applied
Knitting and purling, slipping stitches, knitting and purling two stitches together, changing colors, placing stitches on hold, binding off, weaving in ends, seaming and blocking. I used a steam iron set to the proper temp.
