Rikke Wrist Warmers

Rikke Wrist Warmers are a sophisticated must-have accessory that complements the entire Rikke series. They can be knitted in one strand Önling No 1, our exquisite merino–angora blend, for a light and luxurious expression, or in one strand Önling No 3, our organic heavy merino wool, for a warmer and cozier feel. 

The design is feminine, functional, and elegant – true to the Rikke series – and perfect for chilly days when you want to keep warm without covering your fingers completely.

All Rikke accessories are designed to be combined, and these wrist warmers pair beautifully with both Rikke Beanie No 1 and Rikke Scarf No 2, allowing you to create a complete and personal look.

Width across the back of the hand: 7–11 cm / 2.75–4.25 inches (stretchable in width)

Materials Önling No 1

50 g / 1 ball Önling No 1, 75% merino wool, 25% angora, 50 g = approx. 197 yards (180 meters), weight: DK / Worsted

Worked with one strand throughout.

Materials Önling No 3

100 g / 2 balls Önling No 3, 100% heavy organic merino wool, 50 g = approx. 145 yards (133 meters), weight: DK / Worsted

Worked with one strand throughout.

Recommended circular needles 

size 3 and 3,5 mm / US 2.5 and 4 in at least 80 cm / 32 inches length
(we knit with magic loop for small circumferences)

3 stitch markers

Gauge 21 sts x 30 rows in slightly stretched rib stitch on needle size 3,5 mm / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches after wash and block.

Procedure
The wrist warmers are worked in the round from the wrist towards the fingers. They begin with an Italian cast-on and continue in rib pattern. A gusset is worked for the thumb. Both the back of the hand and the thumb are finished with an Italian bind-off. Right and left wrist warmers are identical and will take shape to fit the corresponding hand once worn. The length can easily be adjusted as needed. The pattern is worked from chart or written instructions.
