Rikke Summer Top
This is a great, gorgeous, and very feminine summer top that will give some of us sweet memories of our grandmothers’ finest lace-trimmed underwear.

The idea for the top was invented by Rikke Jønsson, who is behind the impressive Instagram profile @handmade__by__rj. Rikke has made 3 of these tops herself, and when she showed it to me, I just couldn’t resist. Rikke and I agreed that I should write the pattern for her design. So – here is the pretty summer top that you can use all summer with your light summer skirts or shorts.

It is worked in an extremely fine rib stitch-eyelet pattern. The rib design is very stretchy and tight-fitting as a vest, with a negative ease of 20-30 cm / 8-12 inches. If you prefer a more loose-fitting top, you will need to go up one or more sizes. The top is worked in 1 strand of Önling No 21, our delicious cotton & linen yarn, which is just perfect for summer knitting projects. The result is a light, pretty, and feminine summer top that will become a basic part of your wardrobe. The pretty crochet edges may be left out if you prefer.
