This is a great unisex scarf for the knitter who needs both sides to look alike. It’s also a great project for the absent-minded knitter: the pattern will maintain itself even if you leave out an occasional row. This yarn is beautiful, but expensive and a little tough to find, but 325 yards of any soft chunky yarn (3.5 sts/inch in stst) should do nicely. Happy knitting!
