Rhinecliff Hat
Inspired by one of the loveliest autumn destinations I’ve ever visited, the Rhinecliff Hat features everything that I love about hat knitting: classic cables, timeless texture, and a cozy brim. The cable and rib pattern flows naturally into the crown and an extra large pom-pom!
This unisex hat is worked in one piece in the round from the brim upward. The brim is cast on using an optional tubular cast-on known as the Italian cast-on. Worsted-weight merino yarn ensures both warmth and softness against the skin; choose a solid or mostly solid colorway to let the texture take center stage.
A word about sizing: the baby and toddler/child sizes share the same finished circumference but have different finished heights. This hat is very stretchy, so be sure to choose a size that is at least a couple of inches smaller than your actual head circumference!
