Reykir Pullover
Beautiful and harmonious color gradations are the signature of this Icelandic inspired yoke sweater. Reykir uses four natural, undyed colorways (straight off the sheep!) to create an intricate pattern against a light background. Cozy and warm eco wool in a bulky weight will knit up quickly. The colors can be reversed to create a new look, with a dark background fading to natural off-white.
This pattern includes sizes to fit a 32 (36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56) (60, 64)” or 81 (91, 102, 112) (122, 132, 142) (152, 163) cm chest circumference. #sizeinclusive
The gauge is 16 stitches and 24 rows over 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch on smaller size needles.
This is an intermediate level pattern. Knitters should have experience with stranded knitting technique, long carries, and following color charts. Knitters will also use short rows, basic shaping techniques, and Kitchener Stitch technique.
The recommended yarn for this pattern is Knit Picks Simply Wool Bulky (100% Eco Wool; 193 yards/100g): MC (Wanda #27476), 4 (5, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7) (8, 8) balls; C1 (Wordsworth #27483), 1 (1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 2) (2, 2) balls; C2 (Wilbur #27482), 1 (1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1) (2, 2) balls; C3 (Winkle #27481), 1 (1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1) (2, 2) balls.
You will also need 16” (40cm) and 32” (80cm) circular needles and DPNs in size US 9 (5.5mm), or size to obtain gauge, and 16” (40cm) and 32” (80cm) circular needles in size US 10 (6.0mm), or one size larger than size to obtain gauge.
This pattern includes a schematic, full color chart, written instructions, and notes on short row and Kitchener Stitch techniques.
