Reversible Rotating Ridge Hat
This 2-color knit hat is worked circularly from the stem out to the i-cord brim using simple knit and purl, and is for an advanced-beginner knitter. The increases cause the purl ridges to rotate around.
Size: Hat is approximately 22” around, and fits 22”-24” head. To make smaller or larger, change the needle size or adjust I-cord band decreases accordingly.
Materials: Hand-dyed “Sport Wool” yarn (100% Wool, 184 yards; 1.75 oz skein) by Bonkers Handmade Originals: 2 contrasting colored skeins. Double-pointed needles and 16” circular knitting needle size 2 US or whatever size needed to get correct gauge. 4 stitch markers.
Gauge: 28 sts to 4” in St st.
Stitches used: Knit, purl, knitting into the front and back of a stitch, purling into the front and back of a stitch, k2tog, p2tog, picking up stitches, and I-cord. Picking up stitches and I-cord are explained in the pattern.
