From the Pattern Description: These pants are back-to-front reversible, because that is a very good way to make pants. There is not so much difference between the back and front of the body that a flexible knitted fabric can’t adjust to it; we are not dealing with a sewn fabric, which must be correctly cut and darted to fit. Naturally, reversible pants will wear twice as long as one-sided pants. Any bagginess at knees or seat, caused by wearing the pants one way, can be smoothed out by wearing them the other way. And of course, knitted pants are as supple and comfortable as a second (but warmer) skin.

Knitted pants can be undergarments or overgarments. They can be thin and lacy, like stocking tights, or soft and cosy, like longjohns, or smashingly chic, like cocktail trousers, or warmly utilitarian, like ski pants and slacks. They can have any width, from narrow to huge, or any length, from thigh-top to ankle. They can fit man, woman or child.
