The Respect Cowl is the third installment of my A Single Candle series, and as Henry Herbert Lehman reminds us, we must respect the opinions of others, even if we disagree with them.
This cowl is worked in HiKoo Twisp using three colors in a slip stitch/mosaic-type pattern, though could easily be knit using just two colors. Easy to knit even for someone new to working in the round, it features K1, P1 Twisted Rib at the beginning and end, bordered by a single garter ridge before starting the slip stitch pattern. The cowl uses less than 1 ball of each color for an economical knit.
Finished Measurements:
23” (58.5 cm) circumference and 8 1/2” (21.5 cm) tall.
Colors used:
Fireclay #6011 (A) - 144 yds (132 m)
Beechwood #6006 (B) - 43 yds (39 m)
Natural #5003 (C) - 43 yds (39 m)
As with the other patterns in this series, I plan on donating 50% of the sales of each pattern to the ACLU.
