Yarn: Bulky-Weight Yarn, less than 150 yards.
(I’m not sure, I used handspun for the sample.)

Needles: Size 13 needles

Gauge: 2.5 stitches to the inch

Size: The final shrug is about 24” around, so
should fit a toddler at around 24 months, but
babies and children vary. Our model child is now
21 months old. Her mom thinks it will fit
“perfectly” in the fall (in about 3 - 4 months).
Allow for a little more ease than usual, because
the fabric is quite thick.

You will also need: stitch markers, a small
amount of yarn in a contrast color, some waste
yarn or stitch holders, a large button, a small
button, and a needle and thread.
