The dark purple version was made with Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, “Purple”
100% acrylic
CYC 4 (Worsted) weight, 9 wpi
355 yd/7 oz (325m/200g) per skein

The light purple version was made with A Chick That Knitz, “Lilac”
100% superwash merino
CYC 4 (Worsted) weight, 9wpi
218 yd/3.5 oz (199m/100g) per skein

Quantities needed:
195 (208, 215) (225, 232) yd
178 (190, 197) (206, 212) m

You should be able to get at least one hat out of a single skein of I Love This Yarn, but the smaller skeins will require getting two if you make the L or XL sizes.

You will be working in rounds without turning. This means you will always work on the right side.

When you see instructions like “4 hdc”, that means to work one hdc into each of the next 4 sts.

Stitch counts are only given after increase rounds. If no stitch count is given, the stitch count is the same.

This beanie is meant to have a spiral effect. To create the spiral effect, you will do the following:
Work the first stitch of each new round into the second stitch of the previous round.
Work the final hdc or hdc2tog into the joining slip stitch followed by the final front post stitch.
