I love a heavyweight sock. And I LOVE cables. For these socks, I combined a few bold cables with simple calf shaping and a smooth sole foot to make them perfectly cozy and wicked fast to knit up.

Details: Red Nebula is knit from top down so you can adjust the calf shaping as you go. The foot is a simple reverse stockinette and uses an after thought heel. Bold front motif is a mix of thick and thin cables while the back is a single, third cable type. Calf shaping is simple and easy to space out should you need wider calf space. Just be sure to decrease at the ankle for a good fit. And in case these weren’t enticing enough, I also include instructions on how to make them into legwarmers!

Sizes: One size with adjustable foot length; 15” leg length x 13” calf circumference

Yarn: Plied, worsted weight; 350 yards (320 m)

Needle: US 8 - 5.0 mm DPNs or 1 long circular.
