An easy pattern for an adorable little basket in 100% recycled tape yarn – cute and eco-friendly!

Choose white or pink for eco flower girl baskets, spring crocus colours for baskets for an Easter Egg Hunt, black or orange for Trick or Treat baskets, or red, green and yellow for Christmas decorations or gifting!

These cute baskets also look great on a shelf or window sill - try adding a tiny pot plant!

The pattern is completely seemless with only two ends to sew in: the cast-on one at the centre of the base, and the cast-off one which is used to attach the end of the handle to the rim of the basket.

ECO CREDENTIALS: These baskets are designed to be knitted with either We Are Knitters’ The Tape or Hoooked Ribbon XL which are both mostly recycled cotton and just a small amount other recycled fibres. They are therefore mostly biodegradable, and 100% recycled from waste materials that would otherwise have gone to landfill. The baskets should last for ages, giving many valuable years of use.

You can of course knit them in any yarn you like - just remember to adjust your needle size accordingly. Great for stash-busting!

Needles:
US 15 / UK 000 / 10mm circular for magic loop (at least 25.5” / 65cm, preferably longer) or double pointed needles (instructions for magic loop only)

Tapestry needle:
A nice big, blunt one that will find the holes between the tape easily, for sewing in ends
