Rebekah Lace Scarf
Gauge is worked on size 7 US (4.5 mm) needles. Pattern is worked on Size 10 US (5.75 mm) needles.
The darker ecru/tan scarf was knit using worsted weight. The other two scarves were made from DK weight.
Finished size of scarf: 7” x 60” laying flat. It will stretch when wearing it.
Yarn choices: You can actually use either a DK or a Worsted weight yarn for this scarf. The DK weight will make a slightly drapier scarf. Gauge for the DK weight would be approximately: 22 sts and 34 rows on size 7 US (4.5 mm) needles. Worsted is: 20 inches and 30 rows on size 7 US (4.5 mm)
The pattern has several different lace stitches in it, making the scarf similar to a sampler piece. The different lace stitches are simple ones to memorize, therefore I have not included charts.
The ecru/tan scarves shown, were knitted with cotton yarns. The green/teal one was knitted with 100% silk yarn. Some local knitters have tested the scarf with acrylic and wool and those have turned out well too. However, they don’t have the same drape as the cotton and silk do.
This pattern was knit, written and named for my oldest daughter. She loves lace!
