Rebecca Cardigan is knit from one side to the next, binding off and casting on for the armholes. The edging, knit in simple garter stitch creates a frame and adds a delicate drape.
The body is knit completely in garter stitch and the fun pattern is create changing needle size. If you know how to perform the knit stitch this cardigan is for you.
Knit in a beautiful Malabrigo worsted weight yarn, the plain knit stitch allows the color of the yarn to really come out.
Materials Needed:
7 (8, 9) Skeins of Malabrigo worsted 210 yards merino wool
US 9 - 5.5 mm straight needles
#US 13 - 9.0 mm straight needles
Abbreviations-
K– knit
K2tog— knit 2 together
Gauge— 16 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches
Sizes—40 (48, 55) inches—this is a cardigan with a loose fitting front and form fitting back with an apprx 4 inch ease.
