Ray Top
The Ray pattern is a round neck, sleeveless top a chevron textured pattern throughout the body. The chevron patterning makes the hemline edge appear scaloped. The neckline is finished by picking-up stitches from the body for a garter stitch edging.
This pattern is also shown in a pullover version (Ray Sweater).
Yarn requirements are given for 2 of Jaeger’s yarns: Aqua or Trinity, with their associated needle requirements.
SIZES: 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42)” / 81 (86, 91, 97, 102, 107) cm.
ACTUAL SIZE, AT UNDERARM: 34½ (37, 40, 42½, 45, 47½)” / 88 (94, 101, 108, 114, 121) cm
YARN REQUIREMENTS: Double Knitting, Light-weight yarn.
Aqua – 690 (690, 805, 805, 805, 920) yds / 6 (6, 7, 7, 7, 8) balls or Trinity – 651 (868, 868, 868, 868, 1085) yds / 3 (4, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls.
SHOWN IN: Jaeger Trinity, #435, Wisteria (purple).
NEEDLES REQUIRED: Aqua: US 2.5 (3.0mm) and US 5 (3.75mm) needles or Trinity: US 3 (3.25mm) and US 6 (4.0mm) needles.
ADDITIONAL GUAGE INFORMATION: 24 stitches and 30 rows to 4” (10cm) on larger needles, using Rib stitch - pattern used at upper (neck shaping) sections of front and back.
