A sock pattern inspired by the Maidenhair Fern, a species of fern which grows on rock. It goes well with the Raunioiset Tube Scarf which incorporates the same pattern.
Very soft sock yarn, from domestic Finnsheep wool, was selected as the material for these socks.

Finished sock dimensions:
Leg height 12(12) cm, foot length 24-25(25-26) cm, foot width 9.5(10.5) cm

Gauge: 27 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch, using 2.5 mm needles

Techniques:
The socks are knitted from toe to cuff using the Magic Loop technique. Surface knitting on the upper side is garter stitch and raised stitches. The fern pattern is knitted as a braid on top. The socks have a reinforced french heel and a wedge shaped toe. The sock is finished with an I-cord.
