Rattan weaving—traditionally used to create practical, decorative furniture for the home—has remained wildly popular as an interior design element for decades, combining strong geometric shapes with the spirit of handweaving and basketry. This blanket translates the tradition into the medium of wool and pays tribute to this iconic form of woven sculpture. By cleverly combining the humblest of stitches (knits, purls, and slips) with simple knitted twists, the fabric creates the appearance of woven layers. Strong diagonal lines are imposed over a softer grid of vertical and horizontal lines, resulting in a modern geometric print that will be at home in a wide variety of interiors.
