Rambling Mitts

This set is the perfect accompaniment to those days when you just want to ramble about. Make the hat, mitts, or both! The cuffs and brim are worked sideways, joined, and the body stitches are picked up from the edge and knit in the round. Use a heavy aran or light chunky wool for warmth and stitches with body.
Finished size:
to fit average adult hand, 12 inches long and 7 inches around hand above thumb
Materials:
-215 yards aran/light chunky weight yarn
-size 7 double-pointed needles
-stitch marker and stitch holders
Gauge:
18 sts to 4 inches in stockinette stitch.
Cuff band should measure 3.5 inches wide.
