Introducing Coral, the cutest little crocheted platypus you’ll ever meet! She was designed for a very special lady who has recently started to crochet as part of her ongoing treatment for anorexia, because as you probably already know, crocheting is one of those repetitive tasks that is great for keeping your mind occupied.

She loves platypus’ (who doesn’t!) and has even got a rainbow platypus tattooed on her wrist. She originally reached out to ask whether I had anything new and colourful coming up that she can work on. So I decided that I would design this gorgeous rainbow platypus, put together a kit and gift it to her, to wish her luck on her road to recovery.

As a guide, your finished platypus will be about 24 cm from head to foot if you use the specified yarn and a 3mm crochet hook.
