Pattern was released in the 1940’s, and calls for 7 ounces of yarn for the short sleeved version, 8 for the long sleeved, and 2 buttons.

Short sleeved: 3 ounces for the welts plus 1 ounce each of 4 contrasting colours. The welt shade is used for the fifth stripe.

Long sleeved: 3 ounces for the welts plus 1 ounce each of 5 contrasting colours. The welt shade is used for the sixth stripe.
