Rainbow Girl doll
Rainbow Girl is the second design in my Fantasy Land collection – she is purposefully a simple design to allow her colours to really shine through.
This pattern is an easy design and uses US terminology. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions for you to make the toy.
Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Rainbow Girl is approx. 13cm seated (5 inches).
You will need:
- 2.5mm hook/C-2
- 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted > 25g of PINK, RED, BEIGE, PURPLE, BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN and ORANGE
- 8mm safety eyes
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester toy stuffing
- Stitch marker (optional)
Notes:
- Amigurumi is usually worked in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
- Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
- I’ve used Ricorumi DK cotton he following colours: o PINK = col. 012 o RED = col. 029 o BEIGE = col. 016 o PURPLE = col. 16 o BLUE = col. 031 o YELLOW = col. 006 o GREEN = col. 046 o ORANGE = col. 026
