Rainbow Caterpillar
With only a few basic stitches you can knit this cute and colourful Rainbow Caterpillar: knit, purl, a kfb increase and k2tog decrease. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the caterpillar is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Deramores Studio Baby Soft DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; a few grammes in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, beads for eyes, scraps of felt fabric and embroidery thread.
SIZES
One size only - 29cm long.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
