Part of my Sock Tributes II
A tribute to Marie Curie
She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win twice in multiple sciences and was part of the Curie family legacy of five Nobel Prizes. While a naturalized French citizen, Marie Skłodowska Curie never lost her sense of Polish identity. She named the first chemical element that she discovered—polonium after her native country. The other discovery was radium!
Radium socks are knit cuff to toe in a cable and eyelet pattern. She gave so much to us I wanted to have these as a tribute to her and her contributions. Written and charted instructions are included.
