Quintessential Coasters
Quintessential Coaster pattern gives you 3 sizes: a coaster for your mug, a hot pad for your soup, and a placemat/rug for your plant or plate! Created in the round using front post double crochets, these hook up quickly and are super fun makes that are perfect for gift-giving or selling! Even better, the set is completely reversible. Turn them over for a whole new texture!
Materials
• Yarn Bee Lil’ Dollop Worsted (4), 1.5
oz, 92 yards, or any worsted weight (4)
yarn
• 6mm / J hook
• Needle for weaving in ends
Yardage Circumference
Sm, Coaster (set of 4) 90 yds, 4.5” each
Med, Hot Pad (1) 80 yds, 7.5”
Lg, Plant Mat (1) 180 yds, 13”
Abbreviation & Stitch Key
ch = chain stitch
dc = double crochet
fpdc = front post double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
Notes
• All directions are written in US Crochet Terms.
• Adjust hook size if necessary in order to meet
gauge.
• Ch 3 at the beginning of round 1 counts as dc.
• Ch 2 at beginning of rounds does not count as a
st.
Gauge
Rounds 1-4 = 4” in diameter, measured
from one point, through center to middle
of opposite side.
