This is a new version of the Season of Serenity Shawl that was published in 2020 as Advent knit-a-long. It used 24 colors- one for each part of the pattern.

Last May I was at the Handwerkbeurs in Zwolle, and received many compliments and questions about the Season of Serenity Shawl that was hanging in the stall. One of the questions was whether it was possible to knit the scarf in only 3 colors. I knew that it was quite easy to do, but also that the Advent pattern had become very long due to the 24 separate parts. This gave me a new idea to adjust the pattern to be able to offer it in a more convenient format. During the revision of the charts, I adjusted some things to work the pattern for 3 colors better, such as the i-cord edge on the 3rd part together with the part instead of adding it afterwards.

What you have in your hands now is a pattern that really makes me very happy. While I was knitting, I noticed that it was not boring and that I kept thinking how I’d like to try another one with other color combinations. Nevertheless, I pass on the baton now, and I hope that you will share photos so that I can also enjoy your Quiet Serenity Shawl.
