This pattern comes with a bonus beret pattern designed and generously donated by SMotoExpress to compliment the cowl. Once you purchase the cowl pattern, both the cowl and the beret will be available to download.

Knit on the bias, this cowl lets you pair two contrasting or complimentary yarns. The cowl begins with a provisional cast on and a section of broderie anglaise before transitioning to garter stitch. You’ll be able to choose the length you’d like before grafting the ends together. This cowl is a great stash buster, and the yardage requirements are flexible. Directions are given for changing width and lengths.

Finished Sizes: Short—approximately 7” (18 cm) wide x 26” (66 cm) around, Long—approximately 7” (18 cm) wide x 56” (142 cm) around

Gauge: 21 sts = 4 in. in garter stitch unblocked, 19 sts = 4 in. in garter stitch blocked

This cowl may be worked with lighter or heavier weight yarns. If you change the yarn weight, make sure that you choose a needle size that gives you the drape you desire in the fabric. Yardage requirements will change based on yarn weight and gauge.
