I believe a good book deserves a pretty bookmark, but then, if you have a really beautiful bookmark it would be great to show it off, not hide it between the pages. I thought about a compromise and came up with this kitty bookmark that will not only help you keep track of the pages you’ve read but it’ll also be a cute decoration on your bookshelf!

Materials:
- yarn: 100% acrylic (but other fibers work well, too), fingering weight
MC: dark gray – 15m/16.4yds
CC1: light gray – 4m/4.37yds
CC2: blue – 6m/6.56yds

• hook: 1,75mm -1,8mm
• tapestry needle
• scissors
• 3-4mm beads or sewn toy eyes, 4,5mm safety nose or thread to embroider it
• thin, plastic whiskers (optional)
• stuffing
