This listing is for a pattern SET. It includes two separate patterns that may be worn together, or not. It contains two 4-pages each PDF patterns with instructions, notes and links to videos that demonstrate required techniques.

Both the Hat and the Fingerless Mitts are sized for Small to XL. A smaller child could wear these items, but not necessarily a toddler.

The gauge noted is for the chunky wool used in the hat. The mitts gauge is obviously smaller at 20 stitches and 31 rows per 4” of blocked stockinette.

The hat is knit in-the-round, so you will want to use your favorite method on that technique. I suggest 40” cable needles and making the hat using Magic Loop. I use Magic Loop in every instance possible since dpns are not my favorite thing.

The Mitts are PERFECT for super beginners as they are knit flat and seamed.

Each project requires its own skein of yarn. You will have leftovers from the mitts, so you could make a couple of pairs for your friends. This project is great TV knitting and easy to personalize for gifts by changing the buttons or charms that decorate the finished piece.

“What’s a Purrr-Maid?”

Purrr-Maids are simply Mermaids who love cats. It’s not so far fetched. Think about it. If you lived under the sea and the most cuddly thing you had to hold was an overgrown octopus, a cat would be looking pretty awesome. So it’s no wonder that as more and more mermaids are walking among us, they have converted to being Purrr-Maids.
