Errata: I am making a new version of this pattern and discovered an error at the beginning of Round 4 & end of Round 9:
Round 4: After working DC in first stitch, work DC in next stitch, then CH2 and work DC in next two stitches. Repeat around, working a CH2 over the CH1 from the previous round and DC in each DC from previous round.

Round 9: Middle of sequence: CH2, work DC CL into next 5 stitches. CH4, SC into the CH2 space, CH4, work DC CL into next 5 stitches, CH4, work 1 DC in CH2 space, CH4, work DC

End of sequence CH4, DC CL, CH4, DC into space, CH4, DC CL groups, replace with CH4, DC CL, CH4, SC into round 8 space, CH4, end with slipstitch in top of first DC of round (ignore CH2).16 DC CL groups.

I was fooling around working on a new beret design in purple yarn, and all of a sudden the pattern looked like raindrops. Voila, the Purple Rain Beret was born!
