One skein of Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) per color is needed for the stripes.

Koigu had an online giveaway in February 2014 where the prize was four skeins of Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) in the colors recommended for this cowl. The recommended colors are #P141 (A), #P902 (B), #P729 (C), #P806 (D).

This pattern calls for a 60 inch circular knitting needle. The pattern says to use US Size 5 needles OR the size needle needed to obtain the gauge. The gauge swatch should be knit in the round.

The pattern also calls for a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.

Although Ravelry lists Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) as having 175 yards per skein, the pattern says it has 170 yards per skein.
