Pure Pop is a tailored Ziggurat pullover with ‘set-in’ sleeves and a plain neck and finish. The modified garter stitch creates a nice texture and also makes it possible to knit to the bitter end and the bind off without any extra finish or flourish. Unless you want to add a contrasting final stripe as Zemba did – which is entirerly fitting given that the stitch pattern for Pure Pop celebrates Swedish textile and knit designer, Britt-Marie Christoffersson and is one of the many intriguing stitch patterns in her book, Pop Knitting.

The unusual 3-row stitch pattern lends some extra interesting twists and moves to the Ziggurat construction. Have fun with it!

• Ziggurat: everything is knitted in one go, top to bottom
• no seaming
• very few ends to weave in
