YARN REQUIREMENTS

You can use any yarn and colour combination you like. However, the yarn amount will vary depending on your chosen yarn and hook size.

The following yarn requirements are estimates and based on Stylecraft Special DK (weight #3) and a 3.50 mm hook. I used Black, Spice and Saffron.

Black (background) = 1000 m
Lighter Orange = 400 m
Darker Orange = 400 m

I did a sc join and outline in the lighter orange and a hdc 3-round border plus sc edge in the darker orange.

Lighter Orange (join, outline) = 90 m
Darker Orange (border) = 150 m

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

  • The hook recommended for your yarn. In the sample, I used a 3.50 mm hook instead of the recommended I did drop down to a 3.00 mm hook for the dark orange border, but that’s just personal preference.
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch Markers (advisable)

It is recommended that you download the FREE Tiny Mosaic Tile pattern to get used to the method. You can also download it for free from Ravelry here or join the Craft Pixie Crochet Club on Facebook, where you can find it in the FILES section.
