Pumpkin Fingerless Gloves
I have used Kate Davies Buachaille wool in Highland Coo and Furze. Each skein weighs 50g and I have enough leftover from each colour to now make up a Fair Isle headband to match these gloves.
This is the first time I have knitted with this type of wool and I am very pleased with the feel of it, and how it appeared after blocking the gloves on glove boards. They’re warm being 100% wool and so nice to wear with the autumn chill arriving now!
These are quick to knit up as the wool is much thicker than what I normally knit my Fair Isle garments in. A weekend knit even!
I used 3.25mm and 4mm dpns - using 3 only - as we do here in the Shetland Islands for knitting in the round.
There are two Fair Isle charts supplied - one in the colours I have used - and another chart simply in black and white.
