This pattern creates a crochet Psyduck inspired by the Pokémon series. The finished doll features Psyduck’s signature duck bill, round body, little tuft of hair, and adorable confused expression. You can also make the rare Shiny Psyduck by simply changing the yarn color.

The finished Psyduck measures approximately 12 cm (4.7 inches) tall when made with 4-ply cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The final size may vary depending on your yarn choice and crochet tension.

Materials:

4-ply cotton yarn:
Yellow (or Blue for Shiny Psyduck)
Light Yellow (or Light Blue for Shiny Psyduck)
White
Black
2.5 mm crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitch marker (optional)
A pair of 2 mm round black eye beads (optional, or embroider the eyes with black thread)

Notes:
This pattern is worked in joined rounds. Start each round with 1 chain and end with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.
The yarn under technique is recommended for neater and straighter stitches.
The head includes a concave section to fit securely onto the neck.
A wire is inserted into the body and neck to provide additional support and stability.
Stuff firmly throughout the project to help maintain the shape of the finished doll.
