Prism Magic was a design that was rather improvised, but uses a short row design that I had in mind for some time. Using four colors, the striped section constructs the shawl in a standard fashion, and the final two colors use short row wedges knit into an almost mesh-like fabric for texture. After a few more stripes and a garter stitch border, the piece is bound off in picot for the extra flair.

MATERIALS:
Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light
• Color A: Fossamer
• Color B: El Greco
• Color C: Edison Bulb
• Color D: Neon Peach
US 3 47” Circular Needles
Stitch Marker
Tapestry Needle

GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS:
(For sample shown)
14 rows and 16 sts = 3”
About 62” in wingspan and 15” from cast on to tip.

PATTERN NOTES: While knitting sections 2 and 4, the project will appear to pucker due to the functions of the yarnovers in these sections. After proper blocking, the project will smooth out.
