Printemps Parisien Mittens
I have a slight obsession with all things Eiffel, rabbits, and an enormous respect for the fabulous stranded colourwork, hence I humbly created this nifty mitten pattern using the proportions of the actual Tower… a mini-spring in Paris just for you!
The examples shown were knit with 2 colours of sport weight yarn (spunky eclectic, super nova), finished size: 24cm x 10cm and of fingering weight yarn (Artyarns, Ultramerino 4 and Knitpicks, Palette), finished size: 23.5cm x 9cm both sets completed on no0 (2.0mm) dpns(7”). approx. 300 yards total, for 2 mittens.
The gauge in sport weight: 15sts = 5cm and 16.5rows = 5cm and in fingering weight: 16.5sts = 5cm and 19 rows = 5cm, knit in the round from chart. If you need to increase the size further, you can increase the needle size, but I suggest using sport weight yarn.
