Inspired by Princess Buttercup from the book and movie, The Princess Bride, these socks start with a crown cuff denoting her princess status as bestowed by Prince Humperdinck. The cables in the front of the leg are reminiscent of her long, flowing hair. The back of the leg has a simple braid down the center, as Buttercup obviously braids her hair to create the golden waves with which we often see her.

There are three sizes available. Note that the cables do pull the sock in a bit, so going up a size is recommended. For example, if you typically knit 64 st socks, try a medium for these.

Designer’s sock was knit using Hazel Knits Artisan Sock in the Saffron colorway.
