Celebrate this Easter with Alan Dart’s remarkably sweet primrose lamb. Use a fuzzy textured yarn to create the soft fleece and a smoother yarn for the face and body details. Finish everything off with a delicate flower collar. This little spring lamb is so cute, we’re tempted to knit a whole flock for the SK office!

Use 3mm needles throughout and cast on using the cable (2 needle) method. This is the most important when knitting the smaller pieces. Also begin all pieces with a K row, unless a P row is specified, and always work “inc 1” by knitting into the front and back of the stitch, otherwise your stitch count will not be correct. Treat the purl side of all pieces knitted in Snowflake as the right side. All references to Cream DK are for Hayfield Bonus yarn.

You will need:

  • Sirdar, Snuggly Snowflake DK (100% polyester, 25g/85m) 2 balls of Creamy (631)
  • Hayfield, Bonus DK (100% acrylic, 100g/280m) 1 ball of each: Cream (812) and Walnut (927)
  • 2g oddments of pale pink and bright green DK yarn
  • 1g oddment of pale yellow DK yarn
  • 1m lengths of black and bright yellow DK yarn
  • A pair of 3mm needles
  • 60g of washable toy stuffing
