This unisex pullover is worked from the top down with traditional raglan shaping. The tubular cast on ensures it will fit over the child’s head, and superwash yarn ensures ease of care. Duplicate stitches are used to form the text from the colorwork stripes at the bottom of the sweater; the chart for this is shown upside down in the manner the stitches will be worked.

The Primary Pullover is based off of a design my grandmother made for my older brother in the 1970’s. Originally knit in pieces with lots of fussy finishing work, my version with the raglan silhouette and high quality superwash yarn means minimal finishing and a modern fit for today’s children on-the-go.

Please note that adjusting for longer lengths of body or sleeves may require additional yardage than what is listed.
