Inside big cardboard boxes, a child is transported to a world of his or her own, one where anything is possible. - anonymous

This is a listing for two patterns: Beanie and Folded Brim, both are included as separate PDFs.

Note: from my testers - this hat definitely has a slouch factor, to make it shorter, elminiate the rows between “boxes.”

A collaboration with Woolens and Nosh Yarn and a companion piece to the Pretty Boxes Sweater. Easy colorwork using 3 contrast colors provide a lovely graphic look to this hat that can match your sweater or knit all on its own. This is a great piece for using up small DK weight scraps and there are many projects over on the Pretty Boxes Sweater project pages on Ravelry featuring inspiring color combinations.

PATTERN NOTES:
The colorwork pattern is charted and worked from the bottom up. Feel free to mix and match your colors to suit your preferences. Check out the test knitter’s projects on Ravelry for color inspiration. This hat can be lengthened to a slouchy style by adding rounds of plain knitting.

SAMPLE WITH FOLDED BRIM: Adult Large sample was knit in Woolens and Nosh Squishy DK using colorways in colors: MC French Press, CC1 Magenta, CC2 Sugar Maple, and CC3 Mango weighing 97 g and using 224 yds. Each Contrast Color uses less than 20 grams.
